Correspondence, 1920-1959.

Hoover wrote on Nov. 22, 1920 to James M. Beck asking that he serve on a N.Y. committee to raise money to feed hungry European children; on March 4, 1959 he wrote to Lewis Strauss "I hope you don't lose any sleep over the walking of the ghost of one Oppenheimer." Strauss responded that Drew Pearson had unsuccessfully tried to revive the Oppenheimer issue and had attacked Senator Gore in his newspaper column.
